Been waiting for a clear day to vaccinate and deworm the herd. Here in Northern California, we have had an overabundance of rain. Believe me, I am NOT complaining, as years in the past have been a storm or two all winter resulting in virtually no feed and some serious fires due to lots of dryness. Today was going to be the only clear day for the next 7-day forecast, and it happened to be my day off of work this week. So, corralled them all up and got the job done. Out of the whole bunch, we only had one jumper, one that wanted headfirst under the panels, and one that I finally had to halter to keep her head still to get the deworming gun in her mouth. Oh, and we had one screamer. Other than that, and a whole lot of mud caked on me, we successfully got all vaccinated and dewormed! How has the weather been where you live?
