This morning I noticed that the creep feeder that the neighbor has out was sitting at about a 45 degree angle from being plumb. This is one that only has enough room for a half dozen calves and only 1 vertical bar and a horizontal bar to function as an excluder. When I got closer I noted that her old Charolais bull was standing in the feeder opening, the exluder across his back. He was just as contendted as a clam munching the creep feed. This afternoon when I came by, there were a bunch of calves standing around the feeder but none inside. The bull was long gone. Wonder how much of that creep he left for the youngsters.
