Right now, 40F is unseasonably warm, 20F would be more typical.. Summertime last year we had 95-105F for nearly 3 months.. june through august without a drop of rain
Nesikep is the indian name for the area we live in

We got a lot of rain last night, the frost is coming out of the ground about 3-4" now, it's a giant mess in the pens and there's nothing I can do about it right now.

That sounds like Georgia. Hot and dry. But most years we get some thunderstorms in that time frame. Longest I remember here without a drop of rain was 6 weeks. But I'm sure it's been worse at some time.
