Slobbering cows when I feed by hand

Ok, I am new to raising cows. And I just want to know, I have 4ciws and they Are eating, foraging, and drinking good. But when I go out to feed then by hand, they all begin to slober. Is this normal? I am raising goats and chickens success fully. So I am still reading and researching on cows.
