What is the possibility of a vet pinching a nerve while pregnancy checking a heifer?

I have never heard of it happening however that doesn't mean anything . I agree with Jeanne and too would like to know how far along the cow is and what are her symptoms ?

The vet or the heifer? Pretty high for the vet.

No 'nerve pinching' on the heifer, associated with being palpated, but most of us palpating don't assume the proper stance or positioning, and over the years, we end up with degenerative joint disease, particularly in the shoulder.
Now, if the heifer was crazy as lleh, slamming around in the headgate/chute, she could injure herself - had one of the last crazies in my herd do that last year, and she never got up.
