Forgive me...not at all familiar either type of show. Have never had a halter on a cow/steer/heifer, etc. I can just imagine trying to take one of mine into an environment with lots of unfamiliar folks and noises/sights/smells, etc.
Very nice cattle, indeed…but I have zero frame of reference in showing cows…
I show cattle to advertise my farm. I'm also very involved with the junior program. Been working with juniors, running shows, putting on clinics for 30+ years. I have a family of 3 siblings that we have been sponsoring for going on our 7th year. Kids that don't live on a farm.
