New Cow Pens

Help Support CattleToday:

Looks good!!!!

Did the continuous panels go up fast?
If you dont mind me asking what you payed for those panels?
We are getting ready to put some up.

They were super easy as long as you have 2 people, just make sure that you have strong enough lag bolts/screws. I keep twisting some of mine off. No welding involved, they have inserts to link them together. I paid $130 each and that includes the brackets to screw them into a wood post.

I'll post more pics as I progress. I'm looking at 2 different squeeze chutes. A Formost 450 (proven brand name) and a Real Tuff, which I think I like better. Thoughts?

Use a pilot hole for lags.

I like real tuff / sioux steel and arrow.Although the arrow is more $$ Havent used a formost.

It's finally coming together.

Very nice but I'd prefer it a foot taller.
I left enough room on the posts that I can add a 2x6 later on if that's a problem.

I got some that would try to crawl under it if you pressured them.
They will try anywhere they can see daylight
I allowed room for gravel/chert/hay/manure build up. I'm going to start with sewing fescue in there but may move to another soil covering at some point.
