I second the several recommendations for Acer desktop. A professional IT guy recommended it when my HP died 2 months ago (it was only 2 yrs old). He said Dell and HP have both gone downhill. Another person in -the-know told me to stay away from Costco and Sam's for computers; they supposedly buy older models to sell cheap/volume, so they're already getting long in the tooth by the time you buy it.
