Looking for a 100+hp tractor

Looking for a bigger tractor to do some plowing with. 12,000+ lbs. Still needs to be 540 pto. Cab is a must, loader would be great. Anybody know of one that someone's getting rid of? I'd like to keep it in Texas unless it's a real good deal.

Craigs list has quite a few offerings of different colors....look around at different sites to find a better selection. Some advertisers do list their products in several sites, not necessarily local to them which helps in your search. I picked up a super buy Ford 3910 a couple of years ago. Currently noticed several nice ones in your HP size around the state.

If you are looking for some cheap horses with a loader and cab here is a BELARUS 825 as not sure what you are looking for... They are heavy and would pull a plow.....It is not in Texas, but a real good deal....

Never owned one, but we use to have a pretty respectible dealer close that sold lots of them. They are what they are as I said cheap horse power. I have one neighbor that has 3 and they are heavy built. His biggest complaint is the tranismission getting between gears is not real handy... I think the new people that bought the dealership out can still get parts and does repair/maintance on them. I talk with the mechaincs often at the dealership, as through the years have had a lot of different brand tractors. They talk pretty highly of the Kioti tractors and not so much of the Mahindras...I am sure some people have had good luck with them also.

Here is a funny story about Belarus tractors. Former Congressman William Jenkins bought one in the early 90's (he is a close friend of my family). He decided to run for Congress in 1996. Being that Belarus tractors are or were made in Russia, he realized that that would not go over too well. He ended up leaving it parked in his barn and never took it out for the next 12 years while he served in Washington.

From my experiences with old vs new, If you have a lot of work to do, meaning that a lot of fuel will be consumed, you might check the Nebraska fuel consumption numbers for what you are seriously considering.

In my experience later model tractors run in the order of 3 GPH/HP actually being used vs possibly as much as twice that, especially with non-diesel engines (LP reference for me) on older tractors. My references are '60's and '70's JD 4010, 4020, and 4230C vs '07 Tier II Branson 6530C.....my numbers, not sourced from NT data.

I have a 110 PTO HP Ford/NH that uses between 4 and 5 gallons per hour running a 604M Vermeer baler. My old 7710 (87 PTO HP) used about 2-1/2 gallons/hour running a 504L baler. Both of those are 4wd's with cabs/loaders. An open station 7610 2wd uses about 2 gallons/hour running a 10-1/2' discbine.

OOOOOOOOOOOPs. Glad you caught this big time error. My 2007 6530C Branson B 3.3 NA direct injected Cummins licensed 65 HP 4 banger is rated at 0.047 G/HP being used/Hr., which equates to 2.9 GPH when working at rated 2600 RPM. Last night, on my way to sleep, my subconscience happened to pick up on my error.

Are there any custom operators in your area that you could hire to do the heavy plowing. Just a thought. Keeping up equipment gets expensive.

That's a nice looking tractor. I hadn't paid attention before, but do all of them have that really tall fuel filler neck? Looks odd to me.

Yes they do. It's actually pretty handy. I have one of these in MFWD. These Genesis tractors are some of the best ever built.
