Some of you ruthless executioners should audition for John Wick 3.

That guy is True Grit on steroids. I like Keanu Reeves but John Wick is the ultimate in head shots, one after the other!!!

You guys are so full of bullshyt. I bet there is not a guy on this forum who has performed a head shot execution. But to hear you guys, you do it every morning before breakfast.

I never said I would or could kill the varmint........ I did say I could, and don't care who's bleeding heart it hurts....

I doubt anyone has a bleeding heart for the SOB.

Sad truth is the stories of how other prisoners treat pedophiles is not completely true. I won't go into details or people involved, but I know of a guy sitting in prison for molesting young girls. I never met this guy but I know he went up river in 2006 and gets out this fall. He was given 12 years with no chance of early out. He convicted of raping 3 girls age about 10 years old. There was some evidence that this was not his first encounter but that was not part of the judgement. He is supposedly universally liked by both the staff and other prisoners. Certainly nothing has happened to him. Possibly he is in a special unit with other sex offenders. I don't know that kind detail. And frankly I don't want to know any more details about him than I already know.

A lot of them if they weren't plastered all over the TV lie about what they are in there for and some are in special sex offender prisons. It also is not as bad as it once was. Some of the gangs still have that and if they find a child molester in their ranks they will take care of it. This guy being all over TV well known and a child molester would be a target of interest if for no other reason than to make a name for oneself.

I think Grit needs a phone call on this one. Over 150 girls have given testimony that he molested them while giving them treatment for injuries. He's already facing 60 years for possession of child pornography. This guy is a sick, sick man. The worst part is that staff at Michigan State and USA Gymnastics were warned about it several times and did nothing. They should be in jail as well.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/01/23/us/larry ... index.html

I agree the guy should be eliminated.

What I don't understand is how you get to 150 females before anything significant happens.

Many of these were college women, not girls. How did they keep going back to the guy?

None of them told their parents? Parents didn't do anything?

I heard a gymnastics person say the women were afraid they would lose a spot in the Olympics.

Women in Hollywood were afraid they would lose a million dollar movie deal.

Seems as long as people will do anything for fame and fortune, pervs will take advantage.

Now I will be blasted for blaming the victims. But if they don't stand up for themselves, who will?

This was brought up to several officials in several organizations, all of which should be charged with felony child endangerment. To answer your questions on why they stayed? The best I can say is that if you have to ask, you'll never know....

Here's another story on one of the victims and why she wasn't able to remove herself from the abuse. Everything is not as easy as others would like to make it out to be. Sometimes, children can't fight for themselves.

To the person(s) blaming these victims, please look at the testimony. Excerpts:
"I was attacked on social media. … People didn't believe me, even people I thought were my friends. They called me a liar, a whore, and even accused me of making all of this up just to get attention." Jamie Dantzscher, gymnast and Olympic medalist

"The army you chose in the late '90s to silence me, to dismiss me and my attempt at speaking the truth, will not prevail over the army you created when violating us." Tiffany Thomas Lopez, softball player

"Larry is the most dangerous type of abuser. One who is capable of manipulating his victims through coldly calculated grooming methodologies, presenting the most wholesome and caring external persona as a deliberate means to ensure a steady stream of young children to assault." Rachael Denhollander, gymnast

"I reported it. Michigan State University, the school I loved and trusted, had the audacity to tell me that I did not understand the difference between sexual assault and a medical procedure." Amanda Thomashow, Michigan State student

As to the the parents: see, e.g.: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/24/spor ... rents.html (explaining how he hid what he was doing even when they were in the room)

And if you read/watch nothing else about this travesty, I urge you all to watch Mattie Larson's testimony. She explains a little of the abusive, isolated environment in which this happened. Clearly the coaching staff were just about equally to blame. And the Karolyis should be locked up too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMibEuDSIbo

The Liberal HuffPost thinks the judge overstepped I think she did just fine.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/line-between ... 40360.html

Everyone loves that she gave a voice to the victims (and gave hell to the pedo).
But (as much as I hate like h3ll to say it) she did go overboard in a few places, such as suggesting he be raped. The last thing anyone wants is to see this POS walk on an appeal. THAT'S the ONLY reason a few experts are concerned she may have gone a little overboard. (Others think she was skating a thin line but likely managed to eke by). She probably should have dialed back just 10% on the super-inflammatory personal attacks. Even at sentencing, judges need to keep proper demeanor, although they are allowed a bit more leeway.

Another article about victims coming forward with nothing happening. Part of the big reason victims don't come forward is the disbelief they face.

I've heard it's like a high to them, like a drug addict... I'd have no trouble putting one to permanent rest... And I'd sleep like a drunk hobo...you don't hurt a child period..
I don't think I'd have a problem either but I've never shot anyone that was defenseless either. I think I'd tell him what I thought of him and pull the trigger. This is a tough one because there's so many victims, the victims or their families need to have a say in the punishment of the perpetrator. To me that's the way we stop a lot of this stuff from happening. I wouldn't want to place anymore guilt on an innocent victim.
In my mind he's not defenseless..those kids were innocent, and defenseless...

He is scum it's hard for me to believe that none of the parents had a clue.
I think some looked the other way so not to stir any trouble to their aspirations as well through their kids.

Agree that some might. That happens even without ambition.

I believe most probably didn't. The kid athletes are not treated like kids and spent so much time training- which provides opportunity.

More significantly, as was said above, the position is one of trust. We all trust those positions to some degree. And public positions of authority/trust make the best alibis.

The more respected the position, the better the alibi. The more we trust, the harder it is for a victim to be believed. Glad these kids were rescued.

Too often the kids abused by people in positions of authority are not.
