saw one of these today i kinda liked them dont have all that fancy stuff that runs the price up. wondering if anyone had any experience with these? advantages? disadvantages?

looking at the same thing..03 series; 05 series; or 25 series...would appreciate feed back on JD utility tractors...100 acres pasture clipping...

Have a 5 year old 6405. These are the JD model's that are competitive in price to the other brands.

Good tractors, just without all the frills.

Unless you need the extra HP the 6405 will turn shorter.

I thought the 05 series had less hydraulic output than the 20 series? I would consider this if your adding a loader.

The '05 series will have lesser hydraulic output and a lesser transmission, so consider what you want the tractor to do for you.
If you are heavy on loader work or just plain hard work like tillage then I would go to the 15 series at a minimum. If you are bushogging or something, the 05 could be a good choice.
