A local dealer has a JD 5603 fwd w/loader, I am not to familier with this model, most of my hay ground is very hilly and am concerned about the tractor being pushed around by the bailer, hp is supposed to be 99 so power should be ok but am worried if tractor is heavy enough, it should stack round bales ok, but will the tractor hold up like a 6400 series would doing same job? All opinions welcome. Thanks

I think the 6000 series would be better, but I don't have any seat time in anything newer than a 5420 in the 5000 series. The guy next to us has a 6430 that I have put a few hours on and I think it's nice to run. It handles his 568 deere baler with ease.

The 5603 is a good package. MFWD and a loader make it very useful. Probably, for the hours you'll put on, it is more prudent than a 6400.
