CP I never said they haven't been here since the beginning just like the snake in the garden.
As the society becomes more open to deviant behavior so has the violence towards children and by children.
CP you want to use the freedom argument here, where do we draw the line, gay, bi, rape, pedophiles, bestiality the list goes
on and on. What is acceptable?
Easy. Acceptability is when there are two parties capable of legal consent that do consent. If only one party consents and the other does not then it's a crime.
I agree that violence is way out of whack but I don't see any evidence of that being related to homosexuality.
So if two people want to have sex in Wal Mart that is fine as long as you look the other way and allow them to express themselves? I realize there are laws that wouldn't allow that but I wonder how long it will be before those are declared unconstitutional and everywhere we go it will be "anything goes as long as both agree". To he// with everybody else !!!

Sure there was homosexuality, in ancient times. Most who participated were either slaves to the ruler or someone else or they whored their bodies out for pay. NO different from prostitutes today (male and female). Only difference is that they are now going public with it legally. I'll always argue that gayl, lesiban, etc is nothing more than a conscious lifestyle choice.

CP you have been well indoctrinated.
Funny how our country has been in decline with acceptance of deviant and immoral behavior .
Nowhere to go but down from here.

Ill try to read this drivel later but I was at the school today and heard some woman speaking of some new popular book series that they and the middle schoolers have been reading called " Divergent" A woman who claimed to have read em all said " I just don't like how it lends toward a bunch of doom and gloom" I told them all how what you might think about asking is why you would want your children to read that doom and gloom at all..........?
I tell alot of folks around here there is a reason we call this part of the country the " Bible Belt" and we are going to take it back ! That Interstate I 35 heads back North and ya'll can get back on that road and go back to " Detroit" where you came from if you don't want to realize who is really in charge.........we will take back this Country one county, city, state at a time if you like it or not.....we ain't all going to heaven but we ain't all going to hell either.

I got through the first two pages...

I've got some thought here so please bare with me...

1. While I agree with your thought on the same sex being biblically wrong, I see something worse...wait please. In our culture, churched or unchurched, sexual integrity has hit the skids. 15-16 year olds...what the heck are they doing groping each other...be it opposite sex or same sex? IMO the problem here 1st is sexual integrity and purity. It's led to this downward spiral of anything goes.

2. While what they were doing was wrong, both in same sex and in sexual integrity, forgive me...who are we to judge? We are sinners. While I can not point out the passage in the bible, it talks of reserving our discipline, or "passing judgement" for those claiming to be walking with Christ, in His Spirit...not the ones who do not know any better. For the ones who do not know the laws, how can they abide by them. For those who don't know it's sin, how can they be judged?...by us?
(Edit. We have to remember, probably 80% of this generation is unchurched! or water down gospeled. Most are 2nd and 3rd generation removed from corporate worship and the Bible. Doesn't make what was seen right)

I'm not trying to preach a feel good thing here. What I am trying to say is, how can we have anger towards those who don't know? Our anger should burn for those who profess to be a child of the most high God and acts out in sexual perversion, including adultery and pornography, gossip, slander, etc. While the unrepentant person is lost in their sin, we need to show them love. "They do not know what they do"

Make no mistake, I am not agreeing with their actions, biblically it's wrong, but let's save the anger for those who claim to talk the walk. I'm not saying make the church conform to the world, but open our hearts to the hurting, to the broken.

Casting Crowns actually wrote a song about this. These lyrics always stop me in my tracks and they express what I am trying to say so much better than I can.

Jesus, friend of sinners
We have strayed so far away
We cut down people in Your name
But the sword was never ours to swing
Jesus, friend of sinners
The truth's become so hard to see
The world is on their way to You
But they're tripping over me

Always looking around but never looking up
I'm so double minded
A plank-eyed saint with dirty hands
And a heart divided

Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Open our eyes to the world
At the end our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Break our hearts for what breaks Yours

Jesus, friend of sinners
The One whose writing in the sand
Made the righteous turn away
And the stones fall from their hands
Help us to remember
We are all the least of these
Let the memory of Your mercy
Bring Your people to their knees

Nobody knows what we're for
Only what we're against
When we judge the wounded
What if we put down our signs
Crossed over the lines
And loved like You did

You love every lost cause
You reach for the outcast
For the leper and the lame
They're the reason that You came
Lord, I was that lost cause
And I was the outcast
But You died for sinners just like me
A grateful leper at Your feet

'Cause You are good
You are good
And Your love endures forever

And I was the lost cause
And I was the outcast
You died for sinners just like

I agree with what you are saying, please consider:
Matthew 18:6
"If anyone causes one of these little ones--those who believe in me--to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
We must consider as a nation what will happen if evil is called good and good is called evil.

Red angus 10,

I whole heartedly agree. In all the we do, we are not to cause another to stumble. We must acknowledge the truth of what is good and evil in the sight of God, not watering it down. But, if we have not love, we are bankrupt.

I find music healing for my soul when I am hurting. Here is another one that says it so well. By King and Country. The song is based on 1 Corinthians 13:1-7. The first 4 verses are quoted from The Message Bible.

"I didn't know" doesn't even cut it with the IRS.

I hear you GMN. But is there a time and place for two of the same sex carrying on like that? Just asking.
But I pretty much agree with you. In public I think it is only right to consider the sensibilities of others. That is called respect for others.
