How Masculine Should a Yearling Bull Be

Help Support CattleToday:

Ken, very well said.
I refer to people as being "barn blind". It is extremely difficult for people to walk on your farm and have a good idea how their cattle match up to the ones on someone else's farm. Bringing cattle to a show, gives you the opportunity to see how your breeding program is "aligning" with others in the industry. Not only my breed, but all breeds. All small shows that I go to will compete the Champion of each breed against each other. It can be very eye opening.

Halter broke bulls are no more dangerous than a non-halter broke one. You cannot trust ANY bull.
Actually, bulls are probably the easiest to halter break. All bulls over 6 months of age must have a nose ring to show. It is a real good attitude adjustment control.
A tame bull IS more dangerous! (And a not tame bull on a rope would be even more dangerous)

I seem to be having a little trouble with the internet right now so I can't open your links but I was referring to working in close proximity to a wild bull on a halter
