how do you make skulls look good

I caught a 20 pound Gar fish in a gill net a few years ago. After cutting his head off with a chainsaw, I placed it on a fire ant mound so the ants could clean it. An Armadillo made off with the head. Sad

You can shine the horns up with Comet or Ajax. I have done this before when cleaning up a blow horn. Works real good and makes them shine good. Let me know how you come out.

I had to read this very carefully.
Growing some skin over a skull would always improve its looks but plasticine will do .

I have always just put my deer skulls in the pond. Those little minnows and perch will clean a skull in about 45 days.I just attach a cable to the horns to keep them above water.
They will even go inside the skull and clean all that out. Then all ya have to do is pressure wash and use clear laquar.(spl)
