Now listen to the jingle, and the rumble, and the roar,
As she dashes thro' the woodland, and speeds along the shore,
See the mighty rushing engine, hear her merry bell ring out,
As they speed along in safety, on the "Great Rock-Island Route."
Wabash Cannonball, Roy Acuff, Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, Boxcar Willie, and probably everyone else that ever sang country music

...Now its whiskey and tobacco and bitter black coffee
A lonesome old dogie am I
But waking up on the range
Lord I feel like an angel
Free like I could almost fly....

And sure to be played at least once at any fiddlers contest.

Living for today is part of living for tomorrow
For tomorrow is something we all have to find

Never saw the movie but that isn;t the one I was thinking of. It was Written by Bill Graham if that helps.

It was harder times and longer days
Five miles to school, uphill both ways

(AT least this one is fairly current)

David Allen coe ...if that ain't country

Oh, I'll twine with my mingles and waving black hair
With the roses so red and the lilies so fair

Well my father was a gambler down in Georgia
And he wound up on the wrong end of gun
And I was born in the back seat of a Greyhound bus
Rollin' down Highway 41

He was up in Wyoming and drew a bull no man could ride
He promised her he'd turn own well it turned out that he lied
