Should have fixed this last winter but of course we didn't . Trouble shooting from the implement dealer says that the
control box needs repair ---
Wondering if anyone has ever had one of these repaired. We opened box
up and it was just a scary nest of wires and tiny circuit board. Got to send it to an Agri-electric repair place in Iowa. Sounds like big bucks.
Does this pay to do? It still ties with manual drive, but the netwrap and the auto tie are non-functional.
There used to be lots of these Gehl round balers around, now I seem to have the only one. Wondering if this is the reason.....

Just from experience.......check the pins in your connectors if you haven't already done so. Maybe it is just a loose one or two not making a good connection.

Done that. Thanks for responding.
If control box is on "netwrap" the netwrap drive motor hums.
If control box is on "auto-twine tie" the twine drive motor hums.
There is continuity (juice) everywhere - sadly, the diagnosis is the brain, not the wiring.

On a good day, this baler is slow---there's no way you are making 150 bales in an afternoon like I see some people are able to do. But I am used to it, can run it without concentrating too hard. It's like an old friend.
I hope it can be saved!
