Main causes in my area are as follows 1 horns 2bulls not cut or banded 3 off color,lineback,spots,belt ect as in roan 4 small frame5 excessive flesh or overfat6cloudy eyes 7 frozen ears. What gets them discounted in your part of the country?

Buyers try to dock you if you sell calves Monday through Sunday in my experience.

It is very interesting to watch good cattle buyers ply there trade. Most of us see the obvious but overlook the many small things that add up. It is poor thinking to blame black hide for all of your problems.
