Here are some of the Bos Indicus breeds. The Ekka coincided with the Santa Gertrudis world congress so there were a lot of santa's being shown.

I'm pretty sure that Santa Gertrudis are a fixed percentage of 3/8 brahman here as opposed to being a variable percentage like in brangus, charbray etc. I may be wrong.

The winning carcass of the paddock to plate competition was actually a Santa Gertrudis steer this year. Here's a photo of the winning carcass:

Those two heifers don't look real good. Tell you what you ship them to the port of Houston or Galveston and I will dispose of them for you. That is my kinda of cow.

Looks like CAB to me, ooooppps it aint black.....so you know its gotta be tough as boot leather....lol
