Just spent quality time with our CPA & learned that a portion of the cost (to the attorney/law firm) to prepare the trust can be deducted on your taxes as a farm expense, primarily because typically the land is re-titled in the name of the trust. This would include other significant assets, so you would also need a Division Order for oil/gas wells, etc. I'm all for any deductions that reduce our tax exposure - and are legal.
