Even the cartoons have subliminal messages of liberal/socialist ideology inserted in them.
I can't agree with this statement at all. I have a 4 y/o, and we watch a lot of cartoons. I'm pretty cynical, and consider myself a moderate. I'm liberal in some areas, conservative in others. Mostly, I'm concerned with the good of society, not the individual. The reason I'm saying this is that I look at most things with a cynic's viewpoint. I look at a lot of things for the 'greater picture,' the hidden message if you will. There are not, as you say, a lot of cartoons that promote liberal/socialist issues. Rather, they promote a lack of class, crassness, rudeness and cheap, unsophisticated humor (Spongebob is one of the worst. There's another one with two ducks that we watched 5 minutes of that I can't remember). My son is allowed to only watch two cartoons from a cable network and then it's all learning cartoons from PBS or Pixar films (which if you consider teaching children how to read and to abstain from littering pushing a socialist agenda-I'm sorry for you. This isn't a personal attack, but rather for everyone on here).
Parents need to stop relying on schools to do their job for them. My son, who won't be in school for another two years b/c of a late birthday, can already read, is learning to write, can count, add, simple subtraction, etc b/c we teach him at home. I will teach him s3x education when the time is appropriate b/c our schools here teach abstinance only. I will teach him how to respect all people as good human beings until they give him a reason not to. I will teach him to respect women. And most of all, I will teach him how to be a good human being because as a parent THAT IS MY be nice JOB AND NOT COMPLETELY THE JOB OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM.
I believe that the massive turn in society is infact from the media, but all facets. Video games are extremely violent (you can beat up prostitues after they service you in one). Movies that are not appropriate for small children are marketed to them through toys (ie all superhero movies) and their parents allow them to watch them. Then there's the internet which is an absolute free-for-all of innappropriate things that even most adults shouldn't be viewing/watching/reading. It allows for psychopaths from around the world to gather in one central place to feed on each other. And getting to my point is that this is probably what happened in South Carolina. This kid was a racist, psychotic and able to feed that through online interactions until something snapped in him and he thought it was a good idea to gun down a bunch of innocent people just trying to have a good evening.
