My wife's cat had kittens. Our lab lets them crawl all over her. A stray tom has showed up several times recently, and the lab will run his ass right out of the yard... What is she thinking?

That the cat & kittens are part of her family but the tom is not...just being protective I'd say. She will also pick up on your vibes. Did you welcome the tom in or shoo him away...
