Cars sure have changed

Help Support CattleToday:

I remember my Grandmother telling my Grandpa she wanted another car with a bush button transmission. They always drove Chrysler products so guessing she had a Dart maybe. Everyone I know that has the newer bush button or dial doesn't like it, not really sure why.

Be fun to throw a bunch of these kids in one with a 3 on the tree. See how long it takes for them to figure out there is an extra pedal and no gear selector on the dash.

I had a '61 Rambler station wagon with a push-button transmission.
Front seat backs reclined all the way back. ;>)

Have seen several recent news reports of attempted carjackings foiled because the young criminals couldn't figure out how to drive a car with manual transmission. I'm sure 3 on the column would blow their minds...

Don't forget the old chevy pickup/one ton where you turned the key on, then pushed the
starter on the floor with your foot :)
The tahoe just required you to have a fob. Then you push a button. No key inserting at all.

Grandad's hay truck had the button on the floor. It was a hard reach for a kid.
