Bull

My 3 year old bull has started to rub his horns and face on the water trough violently. He had almost turned it over. Then he will run and chase my heifer cow that now has a 3-1/2 month old baby calf. Is this normal? He will buck and snort like he is in a bullriding event. What gives?
