This math exercise will only take you about ten seconds. Amazingly, it really works and will reveal your all-time favorite movie. Mine was spot on! DO NOT cheat. DO YOUR math, THEN compare the results to the list of movies at the bottom You will be AMAZED at how scary true and accurate this test is.
1. Pick a number from 1-9.
2. Multiply that number by 3.
3. Add 3.
4. Multiply by 3 again.
5. Your total will be a two digit number. Add the first and second digits together to find your favorite movie (of all time) in the list of 17 movies below:

Movie List:
1. Gone With the Wind 2. E.T. 3. Blazing Saddles 4. Star Wars 5. Forrest Gump 6. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly 7. Jaws 8. Grease 9. The Obama Farewell Speech 10. Casablanca 11. Jurassic Park 12. Shrek 13. Pirates of the Caribbean 14. Titanic 15. Raiders of the Lost Ark 16. Home Alone 17. Mrs. Doubtfire

It doesn't work for me. My number was 5, and I've never seen Shrek. But I've only seen 5 of the movie's on the list......

Your 3 ahead of me, but my all time favorite isn;t on the list either.

((5 x 3) + 3) * 3 = 54 ... 5 + 4 = 9

Any single digit number above 1, when multiplied by 9 (which is 3 x 3; steps 2 & 4) will result in a two digit number where those digits when added will equal nine. The only reason you add 3 in between steps 2 & 4 is to ensure that you get the "correct" answer, which cannot occur if you started with 1. Alternatively, the instructions could have been to pick a number between 2-9 and to skip the 3rd step entirely -- but, non-math types are more amazed by these sorts of things the more steps it takes to get the final answer as they often fail to see the implications of several of the intervening steps.
