AI and Preg Checking Your Own Cattle

Doing AI for three years now, starting the fourth season this year. Preg checking as well. Heifers from 2months, cows from 2,5-3 months pregnancy.

My husband does all the AI'ing and will preg check when needed or as required. We do run a fair sized group through before June turn out with the vet/ultrasound mainly because it is quick process and helps us with stocking pastures, identifying twins, confirming those AIs vs bull bred and finding a cow that is cystic before heading off to summer pastures. We vaccinate at this time as well. A little different than most in our area but works for us. I know many prefer fall processing but here spring is working well with our management/schedules.
