I think someone stole my hay....

Lol!! Are you being serious??? I'm going to just assume you're joking! Also I'm sure your grandpa would appreciate a "grown man" knowing how to spell! Embarrassed*

Hereford bull on 3 year old cows

What is his registration number? Or who's his sire/dam? Sometimes that can be just as helpful as estimated EPDs (that are low accuracy anyway).

Fall workup, weaning and culling. Good feeling to be done

SR I am convinced you need a blog. Also are there any pictures out and about that I might have missed of your new bull?

    does bulls make good stakes.

For your situation, why not just leave him a bull? Feed him a for a little while - depending on where he's at now, and then butcher. You probably won't notice any difference in the beef, and you'd accomplish nothing good by cutting a 2 year old bull.

    bull calves

How old is he? Sorry I haven't been following the story line, I've just seen this one. You can always just band him. I think I saw one banding kit for 15.00- probably not what you want to get if you have 100 calves to do, but for a few I imagine it would be alright. Just be sure to give him some...

    wormer

That's been my luck too. Otherwise I love buying from a place like Jeffers because mostly everything is much cheaper there.

    2 Bred Registered Angus cows

I would say we need more info. Do you run a reg. operation? Do the papers mean anything to you? If they are going to be used in a registered herd and they are of good enough quality 1k may be a steal, however, as was stated, if you are just going to you them as commerical cows that might be a...

    VACCINATION PLAN

I agree get in touch with your vet. One day you will need him. Also more than likely he will already have a vaccination protocol for you to use that is made for your area. Do a search on google. There is a lot to learn about vaccines and cattle health in general.

Just for fun, this is the biggest bull I ever seen.

    Are they taking semen orders??????

    Can't decide on a Bull!

The pros about using a hereford would be the hybrid vigor, but (depending on your black cows) you could get some red baldies. The rest would depend on the quality of the bull. Also black baldies usually sell very well. I can't tell much about the pictures. But I know I don't like the maine bull.

    Photo help

Frankie's right, its a lot simplier with photobucket. I have tried and tried with the ranchers.net thing, but photobucket is so much easier. Upload picture, get link, put around it and its done.

    Curly hair??

Not true for me, but my cow doesn't have excessively curly hair.

Does it help to show the cattle at shows for profit

When you show its more of a promotional thing than a way to make money. It is nice to say your bull was Grand Champ at the IL State Fair or something when you are trying to sell semen and/or progeny. Large Purebred Operations show their cattle for different reasons than a 4-H/FFA student who...

I have one that will die at our place and I know exactly how you feel towards that special one. Luck for her, she's 2 and has a long life ahead of her.
