LCBulls, Good luck in the sale. It's helpful just to look at the numbers in the Midland Bull Test Catalog. Musgrave has some magic going on right now with bulls. I really like the bulls out of Big Sky cows. Not sure if he is really a heifer bull or not.

I don't remember who posted here that if you put a really high growth bull on a heifer the calf will really drag down the heifer and make it hard for her to breed back. The thought is that you would go with a bull that is calving ease and moderate growth so the heifer can bounce back and re-breed.

I guess it would depend on whether you were going to keep or sell the calf. If you are selling, it is likely that the buyer will first look at growth because calves typically sell by the pound. A well-balanced bull is always an attractive option. I still haven't mastered the DMI epd or $EN but...
