Which bulls in the sim breed add hind end? I feel I need to improve there on my bulls side, females usually aren't too bad. Looking around at other breeds I feel they've got the edge there a lot of the time.

How much of your ground do you spread manure on yearly, or how often between applications and how much is split between hay land and pasture? I wish there was a source for more manure around me, I'd use much more of it. As of now I just rotate my worst doing fields, and apply heavy each year...

I wouldn't get too attached, Couple more weeks and he may pack it in due to no colostrum. They seem to give false hope and then after a few weeks they fade away.. He may not, but you've already over spent though.

Been picking away at a new handling setup the last few weeks, finally ran a group of 30 calves thru it to try it out. Worked great. Few more things to finish up, but its turned out well - for a lot of work. Ended up putting 2 gates in the holding pen, an in and out.
