Well the good news is I didn't feel anything. She hasn't lost all her whole placenta yet but somehow tore most of it off. I'll have to check the weight on this calf. I guess I'll take one little calf over troublesome twins.

I have used ashes on ice here very successfully. If you have access to any wood ash, just sprinkle it around on the icy area and it gives great traction. Not so great on your front step though, it tracks in lots of black.

Any chance it's a reaction to the pour-on? The timing is a little long for it but maybe if the dilution was off their skin could show those welts.
