    calving season-too much bull calves

Jeanne, will you please link to the research that shows the male sperm is "slimmer and faster" than the female sperm? I remember reading years ago that wasn't correct so I'd be interested in reading the research. Thanks....

My resignation as a CT poster

  You guys do get upset when I step into your "pity party" and point out that HOSS was in the wrong from the start. And he was. Course you don't care; you just want to bash me because I don't back down when you try to bully me. Oh it looks bad, so many long time posters being irate...

    This week's Angus Report

Genetic Inheritance Factors aren't EPDs. EPDs are created when those factors are put together in a formula that all of us can understand.

Then why is this one still here?

    This week's Angus Report

I think they're a good thing and am glad to see the Angus Assn utilizing the 'net, Facebook, etc., to promote the breed....and beef in general. I'd probably watch other breed's videos if they put them up here on Cattle Today.

Perhaps you should PM Macon and offer to be a moderator?

My resignation as a CT poster

No, he's pointing out that HIS feelings are hurt, so he's taking his ball and going home. If the mod had been so inclined, you'd never had seen this thread. Poor HOSS would have left the board without all the uproar and man hugs he apparently craved. :( Wonder why it was left up?

My resignation as a CT poster

It's always interesting who seems to think they don't have to obey the same rules as the rest of us. It doesn't matter what a great guy HOSS is, how good he can sing or play, the Cattle Today rules still apply to him. I do have to admit that I was surprised to see him throw such a childish...

    AI or bull

We've been a 100% AI program for a lot of years, but it is time demanding. A couple of shots of lut might get them cycling closer together, but you've still got to heat check or synch. With AI you can get top genetics fairly cheap (at least with Angus), but there's synch cost and heat detection...

    Different question for Idaman

An interesting response. Certainly not what I expected and I don't really agree with it. In my opinion, the real problem for Herefords is the demand for "angus" beef. Here's a link to the USDA page that lists all the branded beef programs. Take a look at the brands requiring "angus" influence...

    Different question for Idaman

Don't want to hijack any of the Hereford threads. But I am interested in why you, as a long time Hereford breeder, think demand for Hereford breeding stock has dropped so much in the last 20 or so years?
