we are milking 3 herford x holstein cows one of those had a beef shorthorn heifer calf. if she looks alright we will milk her to otherwise keep her as a beef since she is 75% beef but i think shorthorn generaly has more milk. we have about 10 beef shorthorn x holstein heifers that will enter...

i think fleckvieh would be a good cross. last year i bred one herford cow to fleck b4 she went to pasture she had a beutifull heifercalf. that heifer out did alll the rest of the calves from the other cows that was bred by a shorthorn bull in the pasture. shes a solid heifer i'm impressed...
