whole ear corn

Like Bigfoot...one of my early jobs was picking up ears out of harvested corn fields....we feed whole ears to anything that needed feeding...horses, mules cows, hogs...

I knew a guy that fed turnips and he would use a wood bat. You can see where the bump is in their neck if it's stuck in their throat and he would just hit the bump with the bat like he was hitting a baseball and I don't know exactly what happened to the turnip but usually after one swing they would be fine.
