Where to buy Leather?

I am planning on making several leather sheaths for some old machettes that I have around here. I need to know where would be a good place to purchase tanned stiff leather in maybe 7oz-8oz thickness. I see a lot of folks selling leather on ebay but would feel better getting pointed in the right direction from someone here on the CT boards.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Heck Walt I forgot all about them I used to buy some from them several yrs ago (they are right in my back yard) :lol:
we also have a place called the Leather factory but wasn't able to find the correct one on the web

I buy all my leather from Springfield leather. Their prices are great and I've always been satisfied with the leather I recieved.
