What's a house cost? Just the bricks and sticks?

Help Support CattleToday:

Material to build a house rule of thumb.... 25% of the value of the completed home.
Labor 25% depending on the complexity of design.
Land/lot averages 25% of most home sales.
contractor overhead and profit usually = the remaining 25% with most contractors estimating their profit at roughly 12%

I am shocked at what it cost me for my home away from home.
570 sq ft
Floor joist
3/4 plywood sub floor
2x4 lumber I've lost track of
Sheet rock
Dry wall compound (mud) I can't believe the number of boxes I've bought.
Paint by the gallons
Trim by the pickup load
Electrical was crazy expensive
Plumbing cost a ton and worked me to death
Laminate flooring ( you'll get lots of exercise)
Cabinets, sinks, hot water, Ac, heating, and the never ending list .....

It's never ending !
Labor alone has me crippled
My back hurts, my shoulders hurt, my knees hurt, I'm sore all over.

Word of advice
Concrete floors
Sub out dry wall and paint
Finish work takes time and patience

No idea on cost but it's a lot
