What order do I need to go Fertilize-Spray-Mow

If you are going to spray it your self, use GrazonNext or maybe Duracor. No license needed for these two. Use a good surfactant with them and follow label instructions. I wouldn't even worry about fertilizing until you see what you got and maybe do a soil test. No need to shred but if you feel you need to, wait until the fall.

I like to spray herbicide first then fertilize a couple weeks later. I don't want to feed the weeds.

Yep, those little flowers grow just fine without fertilizing
