I would not let the dad come back, but the kid would be welcome anytime. A big part of being a good parent is letting your kid fail and learn to deal and learn from that failure. Even if it is just missing a turkey.

I actually know people that have done that with deer. It blows my mind, when I hear of a father doing that. I'd say harvesting wildlife is not the total extent of his childishness.

Happens every year here during youth season some will post the picture of a huge
buck taken with a 7MM Mag and a 7 or 8 year old kid.
The GW should take the dad and kid and see if that kid can shoot that rifle
if he can't the Dad should loose hunting privileges for life IMO.
