What are you eating today?

Help Support CattleToday:

Diet food. Kale, one of the most productive things you can grow. Planted in September, I've been eating this stuff since November and it's just now going to seed . Going to get the lawn mower treatment real soon. Pretty good eating.

GP, have you ever zested it up at the end of the wilt with rice vinegar? Pretty good if you haven't tried it.

We hit our greens with a splash of red or white wine vinegar.......delicious

Oh yeah, I like kale with or without vinegar. I used the Bobby Flay method here- saute some chopped garlic in olive oil then add greens and a half cup of water and simmer covered for 5 minutes, take off cover and cook off any remaining water. Bobby does suggest using vinegar and salt and pepper at the end or after the greens are plated.

That's some good eating, Henry. I had fish with coleslaw myself last night. Tonight, since it's Vidalia Onion Festival weekend, I made some onion rings.

Souse and eggs with toast with strawberry jelly.

Thanks, I think they all liked it. Here is pic of our guests. Didn't know it at the time but I was cooking for a queen. The Bug ended up being voted Prom Queen! Very proud and very happy for her.
