I didn't see any mention of AAR Ten X.
I thought he was a hot bull?

Just one comment on your second list.torogmc81":26gj701f said:Agreed, and I've been doing the same thingIt is always interesting to me to see what bulls other folks are using. I have been working on our list it is as follows:
VAR Reserve
Hoover Dam
PVF Insight
SAV Mustang
Coleman Regis
Also have some interest in:
PA Power Tool
SAV Registry
SAV Angus Valley
Werner War Party
New Day 454
GAR ComposureI am also VERY interested in trying out Connealy Union 215X (Consensus x InFocus), but I'm too chicken to pull the trigger on such a young unproven bull, although if I can get any more info on him in the next year I might try him in 2015. I guess the same goes for Angus Valley, Registry
If anyone has any information or feedback on my list of A.I. bulls, I would much appreciate your criticism and opinion on my current choices.
Thanks

I thought XXP was no longer readily available? I believe Sinclair pulled him off the market. I have seen some semen selling from private parties, but the price is $100 per straw. He is a bull, I was interested in, but his docility EPD fluctuated wildly. He started out good and his owners claimed he had excellent docility. In January 2013, after he began getting some heavy use, his EPD for docility dropped to -16 with a .50 accuracy. As of today he has a +26 with an accuracy of .71. Talk about a wild ride. Most of it seemed to occur after he was no longer available through Genex. I considered using him last spring, but was no longer able to find semen in my price range. That is one of the risks of waiting for accuracy, but it may have been for the best.gizmom":3mq6uve7 said:BSE
The XXP bull has been on my radar for awhile I really like him and will probably get some in the tank for next year. I would this year but my husband has put me on restriction as far as semen and embryo purchases. I was going to use Really Windy but am afraid he puts more hair on them than our climate can stand, but I really like everything about the bull.

For the Tarentaise I am using this bull as I need something to sell:
MOHNEN LONG DISTANCE 1639
1AN01202 - 16455862
For the Polled Hereford heifer, I will use this one for her first calf. I hope he puts a better rear end on her calves:
TH 122 71I VICTOR 719T
1HP00829 - P42800895
I had used this bull on my old Tarentaise cow and we had an excellent steer. Locally I see so much breeding not only to this particular bull but to his very close relatives available through AI that I'm happy with using Victor.
MSU TCF REVOLUTION 4R

For the Fall calving cows it seems to be down to those two bulls. I will probably go with All In since I have several Prophet daughters I will be breeding. I like to breed the herd to as few bulls as possible.[/quote
I just purchasesd a Deer Valley All In heifer from Deer Valley's November sale. Shes really nice I think you'll be happy with the offspring.
