To all you Tennessian's who are fixing to move to North Georgia, Welcome. ;-) :lol2: Just watched something on the news last night about the boundary dispute and found it about as unnerving as the big spat about the downer dairy cows at the slaughter house. Missing it by a mile is pretty bad but as we in Georgia have learned with our property lines, possession is 9/10ths of the law. Seems when somebody puts a fence on us and it goes undisputed for 7 years, we lose the land - based on Georgia law. Of course a jury can do what it wants. Just seems ironic that there may be two sets of standards - one for the sheep and one for the shepards. Does anyone live near Chatanooga Georgia? :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: Good luck Tennessee. I with you on this. I figure if you wanted to live in Georgia you would have moved here. Ain't this a crazy world we live in.

Jo - Are you saying that your politicians are worse than our politicians? I find that hard to believe. I'd put our self-serving bunch up against anybody, and I'm certain they'd be in the running for the top doofus award.

But the bigger question is - Who would then be the example that everyone cites when they want to spend taxpayer money? Around here if they want something (a lottery) they cite Georgia as the example of what to do and if they want to build a road they cite Georgia as the example of what not to do.

:lol2: :lol2: The lottery is wonderful. It will give the convicts plenty of trash to pick up on your roadsides.

I just find this whole line thing silly. I mean, 200 years. Common. This is beyond silly. Think about it. If they change the line, won't they have to change all the history books, deeds, etc. Of course I think my wife summed it up this morning when I asked her if she wanted to take a road trip to Chatnooga Georgia for the weekend. She looked at me with this odd look and said, "There IS NO CHATANOOGA GEORGIA". I think she summed it up right there. I guess Texas can have their UFO's and we can have our floating boundaries. :lol2:

Joo,

Georgia Govenor Pardue couldn't win the water wars with the Alabama & Florida Governors so I guess he thinks he can outwit the Tennessee Govenor.

He may have a chance, after all the Tennessee Gov is from Tennessee isn't he?

Crowder, I know I probably couldn't outwit ya, so I'd like to enter into a bisness propostion with ya. I got these hats ya see, and I need some venues to move them. I just got off the phone with Bejing and they promised to keep the kids working as long as necessary to get the order up. Was hoping you would carry some in your store. Whatcha think?

I'd be glad to Jo. Only problem is how we gonna get that Hazelnut to fit in our Coffee cups?

That's the only color choice we have left to sell. Tor some reason all the pink ones got bought up by them folks in Hotlanta - Mid-town area I believe. Who'd a thunk it. :?:

Maybe the folks in that misplaced mile should just go to the Supreme Court and ask for independence. They could then sell their water to the highest bidder. With that and a casino or two they could probably live right well.

  If they get their independence this would be a good precendence for South Georgia to seek theirs as well. The Atlanta Journal Consititution calls us "the other Georgia" and will no longer sell papers here.

I watched another snip of news and one politician was saying it was not about water, it was just high time we get the boundary line correct. Yeah, right, I share his concern as this has been gnawing on me for nearly 200 years. :lol2: :lol2:

I used to like to read the AJC, but since you can't get it down here anymore, I found out that I like the Macon Telegraph better anyway. Also like the Vidalia Advance better than AJC, The Telfair Enterprise, The Dodge Times-Union, The Montgomery Monitor, all better than the AJC. The AJC is at least as left wing as the NY Times. Good riddance.

That's going to be funny. I want to see the pics when it happens. I talked to a fella today about it and he said that Gov. Purdue said "SAY WHAT?" when someone told him of the senators ideas about the boundary.
