Meat production also consumes a huge amount of water – it takes 15,415 litres to produce 1kg of beef, according to the UK's Institute of Mechanical Engineers, which is just one reason that the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation says: "The livestock sector emerges as one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global."

Farming is one of the main causes of land clearance and deforestation, a huge contributor to climate change, while overuse of fertiliser causes eutrophication – too many nutrients in water that reduce the amount of oxygen available for marine life and reduce water quality – as well as dead zones in coastal areas and degradation of coral reefs.

The farmers in south FL. have ruined the brackish, and inland water. And that's a fact. But the reason why is because of the Army Corp. of Engineers. From about a line from Tampa to Vero, they dug canals going to the ocean for drainage. And the farmers turned it into farm fields, and the land developer's turned it into houses and shopping centers. And most all this happened within my life time. Now when it rains everyone wants the water drained off, and there's just to much runoff to fast. And it's ruined the inshore waters of south FL.

millions of houses all setting adjacent to each other. Driveways. Shopping centers with huge parking lots. It comes a 2 inch rain an now all the sudden you have floods. All the roof lines dumping water into the concrete driveway and paved roads become rivers. It all dumps into the ocean now. Not even a chance of water soaking in to the soil. More and more houses. More and more parking lots. More and more floods.

Creeks that never flood are now flooding. It is not what they say. Any idiot can go see all those houses jammed up right on top of one another during a rain. You see the street flooding on the news. You see the river flooding on the news. It gets worse and worse every year.

I get the Dallas news. The Trinity River is out of its banks now with just the slightest amount of rain.

They keep adding houses and parking lots. What does the Corps of Engineers ever say about that? Nothing.

The water cannot get to the soil to soak in. Water tables are dropping and wells are going dry in that area.

But they want to blame my cows? LOL
