warts

Help Support CattleToday:

Do a search for warts. Click on the Search tab at the top of the page. It's been discussed here before. If I remember correctly, about a dozen methods and couple dozen opinions.

Welcome to the boards.

Good luck & best wishes.

my yearling bull has one wart on his neck buts the best method of removal thanks

1. Leave it alone, it will probably go away on its own within 6 to 9 months. Warts are a virus and cattle will usually develop antibodies that will take care of the virus
2. Cut it off or pull it off. Depends on the size and location, but this method can work well if you need imediate results
3. Purchase a wart vacine. These usually only work about 20 to 30% of the time. There are several different versions of the wart virus and many times the standard vacine simply doesn't work.
4. Have a vet take off a piece of the wart and make up a vacine specifically for your stock, based upon the virus strain your cattle have.

Good luck

pinch it with your pliers if you really need it to go away. or leave it alone it'll go away by itself in time.
you don't have to pull it off just give it a good pinch till it bleeds a little.
