Virginia’s SB 16

Help Support CattleToday:

Wonder who promoted this governor to get elected. Same ones here that promoted the person that was running for president and was going to add this governor as the vice president. I don't want this to get political or point fingers but we are going downhill fast and leading the charge are a few small areas with large population near the east coast of VA and near DC that followed the last president.

Under the descriptions below, even my old Remington Nylon66 semiautomatic .22 (round capacity 14 LR rounds) would now be seen in Va as an "assault weapon".

The Russians have nothing to do with these facts.

When I dove hunt, quail hunt, or duck hunt I have to have a plug in the shotgun for three shells. That is not fair if I remove the plug I can shove five shells in it. Tell me why I have to plug my shotgun.
The Russians shoved a lot of money through the NRA and you do not think they have these places on the internet to stir people up.

The county resolutions won't mean much. The VSP can enforce laws of the Commonwealth. This state has turned, led by the northeastern corner. There are those in the rural areas too who would support it (organic alpacas, folk music, and such). If I knew where to go I'd find myself one of those carpet bags and head out. Just seems like all the states with low populations and high levels of common sense also get mighty chilly in the winter.
You might try one state to the south. With the exception of Memphis most of TN still has some sense. We even have a cattleman in the Governor's Mansion.
Yeah but all that orange and white everywhere! :D

Your really not that stupid! All those regulations go back to market hunting days the same thing that outlawed the punt gun for duck hunting.

There is no law on carrying multiple shotguns, carry three and shoot nine times.

Okay you went back in history to make your point. Give me an answer as why the Tommy gun, machine gun and the sawed off shotgun was outlawed. Also why they made it unlawful to carry a pistol. The pistol business was in Texas back in my younger days. This was to stop the crime families from taking over. We had Bonnie and Clyde in our area.

Clyde didn't carry a Thompson, his weapon of choice was a BAR stolen from an Army armory . Bonnie and Clyde murdered very few compared to the deranged today. They killed 13 over years with no murders attributed to Bonnie. The Thompson machine gun is not outlawed you can still own one today. As far as the sawed off shotgun you can buy one today!
I have shot the Thompson was not real impressed, it's nothing like the movies as the firearm recoils up and off target with anything more than a short bursts.
As far as the shockwave I would hate to try to hold on to that.

I am surprised your not in DC protesting the banks as well. If you think gun laws apply to criminals to follow your not near as smart as I have given you credit.
Assault weapon is term coined by leftists to scare people. We assaulted the world multiple times with a single action 1911 for over a century. Be curious to see the casualties of it versus the AR.

You are talking about war time I guess. You can bet on one thing and that is the majority of the people in the United States wants some sensible gun laws. And I thought you were less narrow minded than you show to be.

Why don't you move Hurley to a socialist country that lines up with your thinking. It's clear that you think we have had it wrong since 1776. The socialists agenda has gotten the train off track today with criminal rights and LBJ's Great Slavery he called society. We are paying a dear price for that today in sheeple blindly following the government. If Joseph Goebbels had our media you would be goose stepping today. The current electoral map and the vote by county in this country doesn't agree with your thinking.

On a sad Note. Better stock up on ammo while you can, with the direction your wanting to go your going to need it.

I thought we already had sensible gun laws, since the liberals of yester years thought the laws we have today were good enough? They're the ones that wrote them after all, or are you implying they might of been wrong?
Could be hurleyjd is the one being influenced by the russians, since the Russians would benefit from the us citizens being disarmed.

The irony is they want someone to force their way of thinking on us.
They are not willing to die forcing their beliefs on others but are willing to use violence performed by others to enforce their beliefs.

The true enemy within.

You would get used to it. You can go from the deer stand, to Neyland stadium, and then to jail and never have to change your shirt.

Rockbridge County passed the resolution last night at an overwhelming turnout. Line was 100 people long outside the auditorium at 6 p.m. , overflow was put into the gym by 6:30. From what I understand there are 46 counties that have now passed the assylum resolution here and more yet to come. It is going to get interesting come Jan when the new state legislators come in. Luckily, the governor only is allowed one term in Va., and with all the BS that is going on now with the impeachment of the President, the democrats had better all be careful.
Does anyone remember the statement in the movie TORA TORA TORA ? Where the Japanese commander said after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, that, he was afraid that they had awakened a sleeping giant that they would regret? Well, this may be what it took to "awaken" the sleeping public that don't vote..... and get them to get off their duff and vote.
Luckily, Skyhightree1 I do/did vote. Maybe more now will start to realize that if they don't, they can lose everything. This kind of BS is that start of a very slippery slope to losing our rights. Not just our gun rights, but all our rights.

Anyone read the "Ashes" series by William Johnstone? They were published in the 90's. He writes the Mountain Man series and such. But there were several different ones, including the 'ashes" series, that are fiction but much too much close to what can/will happen if we let these leftist NUTCASES continue to slowly erode our rights as citizens. Invasion, Border wars, and others.

There were over 1800 at the Augusta county meeting, yet there were some that were not in support of it including a couple of the representatives and in the sheriffs dept. 1200 plus at the Rockbridge meeting. 750 seats in the auditorium, 500 into the gym. Went to the stockyards this afternoon, son was going so I rode along. Guys were talking about it there. It is a big topic in alot of places. Especially with all this happening right during hunting season.

Ice on everything this morning, 1/4 inch I had a terrible time getting scraped off the windshield. Warmed up and we got more rain and supposed to rain more tonight.

Sometimes the a small percentage votes in what they want and other times a higher percentage of voters vote. This is what makes a difference. So if you get outvoted you will have to live with it. More people are waking up and voting than in the past.

I have not hunted in a long time but I think I am going to buy a rifle with a thirty round clip and go deer hunting after all the more rounds I have the better chance of killing the deer. Makes since when only on shot should do. I know a young man in my community that kills more hogs than any one. He has a .223 caliber single shot rifle and places the killing shots where he wants them not in the heart area but right behind the ear as he tells it. I have seen him haul in a dozen or more hogs on his trailer.

Just wait until next November if you want to see a massive turnout. Gonna make Boris Johnson's blowout look like child's play.

Last time I checked the 2nd amendment wasn't written with hunting in mind. Not to many tyrannical deer trying to over throw the government, maybe over throw a corn field, but not the government.
