I haven't gotten the Birthday present I wanted, at least not yet. It is still about six hours to midnight in EST.

That heifer, Miley, with the prolapsing rectum has not calved. I broke down and called the vet and he came out and checked everything. He palpated her rectally. Calf is fine. He said big based on feeling the hoof. He then washed her vulva and changed gloves. Did a vaginal palpation. Then he used a pipe with a light and went into her vagina. Found out that she does have some vaginal prolapse in addition to the rectal prolapse. He said her cervix is tightly closed and she is maybe three days out but could happen any day. That was Saturday. He said her rectal prolapse will need a few stitches after the calf. He said the vaginal prolapse is more common than people realize because many do not show unless the vulva is open.

She is killing me.

hehe, so you're expecting one too.. Mine came 2 days late.

I only consider it a vaginal prolapse of note if it opens the vulva on it's own... I find it far too common!

I'm confused now so she does have a vaginal prolapse ?
Does that mean MM was right about you

Let's not have a repeat of that little bit of ugliness.

I'm just wondering if he really knows the difference or was just posturing :D
