Instead of things we hate, how 'bout some things we love.

I was just driving around this morning, minding my own business, when I seen a mess of kids (and a fancy adult female that captured my attention).

I stopped and offered a ride, to them and their dogs. Dogs ride up front, kids and women in the back! Ha! Just like 1975.

I did take them home so they could eat. I made sure the kids and the female had something to eat too!

There is a thread here somewhere just the same as this one!

It's the little things mostly....

Yes, it is the little things.

After Horton's towing service got through pulling my tractor out, I drove back up top and checked on the dogs (and those rascally kids).
Somewhere along the way, they acquired a baby kid.
Looks like somebody took a right turn a bit too fast. Somebody's gonna have to fix the rear axle.

I thought being a parent was something I loved, and it is, but being a grandparent is really something. When my grandson recently complained that I hadn't played with him when I said I was going home, his mother corrected him and told him I had played with him. He promptly replied "Yes, but he didn't play CORRECTLY!!"

Playing correctly involved crawling around on his bedroom floor. Crawling around on floors doesn't work well for old men with bad knees. I just sat on the floor with my back against his bed and played with the toys I could reach, which apparently wasn't sufficient.

A couple weeks ago he asked me to play with him, and told me I'd have to follow instructions.

One of the things I love is to be on a mountain top first thing in the morning all by myself. When I do that I can't help but to think of Dwight Youkum's song A Thousand Miles From Nowhere.

I'm a thousand miles from nowhere and time don't matter to me............

Yep. Got that earlier from one of those badgers rolling the wagon. The mule asked me if I could push the wagon.

I said NO, "I ain't bending over for that…..here darlin, let me pull".

EDIT——-
Oops. This one was meant for Rafter.

My fingers don't work well on a phone, especially when they're cold and greasy.

Glad you started this thread. Wish I had. I was just noticing the other day how many views and comments the other thread had. Reflect on that fact a bit everyone.... Remember when mom said. "at least you have your health" ? When you get over 50, you start understanding what she meant...
