The fair calves... not the best pic quality, sorry

Here they are, three weeks before the fair, they still need to be combed, cleaned and clipped, but I think they are in nice condition considering the market calves are only 12 and 13 months old.
The red one with the (poorly lit) side view was only 12 months old on the 2nd from a first calf heifer... she has earned a long lived spot in the herd if she can keep this up.
The two smallest, the roan and the silver and white, are just young heifers that will be shown.
I'll get better pics and post in the show board when they are all clean and fit and at the show :)
 
We don't have anyone showing our animals but I pick a day or night to walk thru all the barns. A few years ago we had a steer that someone bought and was going to show it but for some reason it became hard to control about a month before the fair. It was an impressive animal though. I do know a couple of the Maine and Stettin 4h families though.
