10% works too but the mixing ratio is different. Instead of an ounce you need to use 4 ounces. usually 38% is cheaper to use....something like $20 vs $30 for 4 times the power.True Grit Farms":3gfsp8ni said:Tomcolvin":3gfsp8ni said:I only have the 10% permethrin. It will still kill the flies just won't stay as long. I make a pour on with 1gal corn oil, 6.5oz pbo8, and 6.5oz permethrin it's a generic for ultra boss. It'll keep flies off for a few weeks, sometimes longer.
I did a mix like that this weekend with lambda-cy.True Grit Farms":1awcvblv said:kentuckyguy":1awcvblv said:My directions call for 1.5 oz of 10% concentrate per gallon of water. I didn't end up mixing in any oil.

Used a little higher rate of lambda though.
Poured it on their backs, got some on me and it ate me up for 2 days. Usually lambda only burns for a day.

Jed, I thought you were supposed to use less Lambda Cy than Permethrin? This is off label but mixing a little Baythoid doesn't hurt either.

Problem is rain washing it off. I use a rub now where premethrin is mixed with diesel. The have to go under it to get to the minerals.

First, diesel is not environmentally friendly to your farm or ranch.[/b] Secondly, it's not approved for use, per label. Thirdly, "years and years" ago today's recommended oils didn't exist. But...use what you want. I trust the experts. :tiphat:
