SINCE I VALUE YA'LLS OPINIONS ON CALFS

Help Support CattleToday:

Small medium heifers, maybe (being generous I think) 450 lbs they don;t look like $400 calves to me. Come up here at weaning and I'll sell you the cull heifers that are headed to the feed lot and you'll get better breeding quality animals then those.

Craigslist has a search engine that will search all Craigslist ads within a certain distance of your zip code.

Here's an ad I found in Lake Nona. I'm not sure how far that is from you.

Red Angus Cow bred 3 y/o - $500 (Lake Nona)
3 y/o Red Angus Cow bred to Registered Black Angus bull. Easy keeper. She is carrying her second calf by same bull.
Save me a trip to the sale. 407-376-6124.

Stock agents leave a bit to be desired at times here in Australia. They might be better in WA. They are very variable over this side of the country. The young agent we have is excellent. Forgot about the local ones. Had to go over the border to find a good one.Cattle get marketed well now.

I did work experience with an agent with a firm called Primaries. He died a while back but he was brilliant. The stock agents at Elders leave something to be desired. And our local Landmark is quite good. I always considered going into the career. Maybe after uni.
