I have a calf that has what looks like ringworn on her upper eye lid and below her eye. If I put a good amount of anti-fungal cream on the area could I put a patch over her eye, or is that not good for ringworm? I am asking because catching her up everday is an issue and also she is with another calf and they have a bad habit of licking each other.

I have read about ringworm, but don't remember seeing anything aout being able to patch it.

Thanks for the help.

Don't patch it, all you will be doing is trapping in more moisture. Try catching her and scrubbing it to get it to bleed, I usually saturate it with iodine, but not right against the eye ball. I've used novusain cream to clear it up before in the same areas. It seems to dry it up as fast as any thing else.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think that patching it would be good, but wanted to confirm before I did something stupid.

Thanks again.
