If I have stepped on anyone's political toes, OOPS! Oh well.

Same facts but opposite conclusions. Here's a set of thoughts comparing the overseas messes of the past decade or so and placing them in a somewhat clearer, but still confusing, light.

I'm trying to get all this political stuff straightened out in my head so I'll know how to vote come November. Right now, we have one guy saying one thing. Then the other guy says something else. Who to believe. Lemme see, have I got this straight?

Clinton awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Yugoslavia - good...
Bush awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Iraq - bad...

Clinton spends 77 billion on war in Serbia - good...
Bush spends 87 billion in Iraq - bad...

Clinton imposes regime change in Serbia - good...
Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad...

Clinton bombs Christian Serbs on behalf of Muslim Albanian terrorists - good...
Bush liberates 25 million from a genocidal dictator - bad...

Clinton bombs Chinese embassy - good...
Bush bombs terrorist camps - bad...

Clinton commits felonies while in office - good...
Bush lands on aircraft carrier in jumpsuit - bad...

Clinton says mass graves in Serbia - good...
Entire world says WMD in Iraq - bad...

No mass graves found in Serbia - good...
No WMD found Iraq - bad...

Stock market crashes in 2000 under Clinton - good...
Recession under Bush - bad...

Clinton refuses to take custody of Bin Laden - good...
World Trade Centers fall under Bush - bad...

Clinton says Saddam has nukes - good...
Bush says Saddam has nukes - bad...

Clinton calls for regime change in Iraq - good...
Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad...

Terrorist training in Afghanistan under Clinton - good...
Bush destroys training camps in Afghanistan - bad...

Milosevic not yet convicted - good...
Saddam in custody - bad...

Ah, it's so confusing!

And on and on…

They’ve got an interesting position to defend. No wonder the focus is on hair.

Yeah, I’ve seen in the media this week where some of the infobabes and soccer moms are all fawning over the good looks of little John now that he’s the pick. Especially his hair.

I remember laughing (at the time) over a commentary by Mike Royko (may he rest in peace) back in 92. You’ll recall he wrote a great column that was syndicated out of the Chicago Tribune. He was conservative before conservative was cool, and he was caustically funny. Anyway, when all the Democratic dwarfs were trying to get the nomination he predicted that one Bill Clinton, the unheard of governor of Arkansas, would win the nomination. He said it was because liberals would pick whoever had the best hair. How true it was.

Here we go again.

i remember during the original clinton/gore campaign. a co-worker was voting for clinton because she thought gore was so good looking. it's a little scary to know how some citizens base their voting decisions.

That's the reason that my wife says that women shouldn't even have the right to vote. Sometimes I'm inclined to agree with her (although I usually argue anyway). Before you wimmin start in on me now, be sure to read the bold text again. That is her idea, not mine.
